Smoking Areas at San Jose Airport
San Jose International is entirely smoke-free indoors. There are no smoking rooms or indoor smoking areas.
Terminal A:
Terminal A handles Alaska Airlines, JetBlue, and several other carriers. Outdoor smoking areas are on the arrivals level near the curbside and ground transportation zone. Exit through baggage claim and follow signage.
Terminal B:
Terminal B serves Southwest Airlines and other domestic carriers. It has its own outdoor smoking area on the arrivals level near the ground transportation center.
San Jose Airport Smoking Policy
California law prohibits smoking within 20 feet of any entrance to a public building. San Jose also has local ordinances reinforcing the indoor smoking ban. All smoking must take place in the designated outdoor areas.
