Yes, you can smoke at Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV) — inside the smoking area and open-air terrace of the Primeclass Lounge in the International Terminal, reached after security and passport control, or outside the terminal, landside, where Turkish law permits smoking in the open air.
Milas-Bodrum is the main airport for Turkey’s Bodrum Peninsula, operated by TAV. It has separate Domestic and International terminals, each with its own Primeclass-branded lounge; the two lounges are not equivalent when it comes to smoking.
International Terminal — After Security
The International Terminal’s Primeclass Lounge sits on the mezzanine level, after security and passport control. Its own lounge listing states there is a designated smoking area inside, and a July 2026 review published on boardinggroup.one describes lounge guests also smoking on its open-air terrace. Entry does not require a business-class ticket: Priority Pass, DragonPass and other lounge memberships are accepted, and non-members can usually pay at the door — one of several Turkish airports where after-security smoking runs through a paid lounge rather than a standalone terrace; see the open-air terrace after security at Dalaman Airport for a public, non-lounge example further along the coast.
Domestic Terminal
The Domestic Terminal has its own Primeclass Lounge, and its own lounge listing states a strict no-smoking policy that covers e-cigarettes as well as tobacco. If you are flying domestically and cannot reach the International Terminal’s lounge, smoke landside, outside the terminal, before security.
Landside (Before Security)
Outside both terminal buildings, landside, is where Turkish law permits smoking in the open air — Law No. 4207 bans tobacco use only in enclosed spaces, so open-air smoking before security is unrestricted. This is the option if you don’t have lounge access or are just arriving.
Vaping
Turkey’s Ministry of Health classifies e-cigarettes as a tobacco product under Law No. 4207. At Milas-Bodrum that means vaping is confined to the same places as smoking: the Primeclass Lounge’s smoking area in the International Terminal, or landside outside either terminal building. It is not permitted in the Domestic Terminal’s smoke-free lounge.
