Yes, Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) has designated smoking areas, including an airside open-air terrace opposite Gate C42 in Module C. There are also outdoor areas outside the terminal entrance on the departures level (Level 2) and the arrivals level (Level 0). The terminal interior is smoke-free.
Outside Terminal
Departures Level (Level 2): Outdoor smoking areas directly outside the terminal entrance, on both sides of the main building. Ashtrays and standing areas are provided. This is the most convenient option for departing passengers.
Arrivals Level (Level 0): Outdoor space near the arrivals exit, taxi rank, and bus stops. This tends to be less crowded than the departures level, especially during summer.
Short-Term Parking Area: The open-air space near the parking structures provides additional room during peak periods when the departures entrance is packed with charter flight passengers.
Airside (After Security)
Open-air terrace opposite Gate C42 (Module C): An airside open-air smoking terrace sits opposite Gate C42, at the level of departure halls C38–C48. It has been confirmed open through 2024 and 2025, and is the well-confirmed current airside option. Modules B and D have no airside smoking, so passengers there walk to C42 — roughly 5–10 minutes from Module D. A second airside terrace near Gate A08 in Module A has been reported by travellers, but this is older and less certain, so head for C42 if you want a sure spot.
Inside Terminal
There are no indoor smoking rooms at Palma de Mallorca Airport, so all indoor areas of the terminal are smoke-free.
