Yes, Durban King Shaka International Airport (DUR) has both an enclosed indoor smoking room airside and designated outdoor smoking areas. The indoor room is inside a lounge and needs lounge access; everyone else uses the outdoor spots.
Indoor Smoking — Bidvest Premier Lounge (Domestic, Airside)
The Bidvest Premier Lounge in the domestic departures area has a separate, enclosed smoking room — the only indoor smoking option at King Shaka. It sits airside, after the domestic security checkpoint: head up to the 3rd floor and the lounge is on the right. It opens early morning to evening (roughly 05:00 to 21:00, hours vary) and is accessible with Priority Pass, Diners Club, eligible cards, or a paid day pass.
Note the asymmetry: the Umphafa Lounge on the international departures side is non-smoking, so international airside passengers have no indoor smoking option and should smoke outside before clearing security.
Outdoor Smoking Areas
Designated outdoor smoking areas are located outside the single terminal, near the departures and arrivals doors (landside). These are the option for general passengers without lounge access. Follow the signage near the exits.
King Shaka Airport Smoking Policy
