Yes, you can smoke at Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) at designated outdoor smoking areas located just outside the terminal building, landside. Light up before you head into security, or after you collect your bags on arrival.
SEZ is the single tropical, open-air terminal serving Mahé at Pointe Larue, the hub for Air Seychelles and the gateway to the islands. The terminal itself is fully non-smoking, so the smoking spots sit outdoors before the security and passport-control checkpoints.
Where to Smoke
There are designated outdoor smoking areas just outside the terminal building on the landside. The official airport confirms that smoking is prohibited in all enclosed areas and that there is no enclosed or designated smoking room in the terminal. Plan to have your cigarette at the outdoor areas first, then proceed to security and passport control, as there is no after-security smoking option once you are airside.
Vaping
E-cigarettes and vapes are banned in Seychelles, where their import, sale and trade are prohibited and they are regulated as tobacco. Do not bring a vape into the country.
