## Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport Smoking Policy

Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Airport (Khomutovo) is the main gateway to Sakhalin Island in Russia’s Far East. It opened a large two-storey terminal in August 2023, around five times the size of the old building, with separate domestic and international sectors, jet bridges and several cafés on both floors.

The airport lists no enclosed indoor smoking room in the new terminal, so smoke outdoors, landside, outside the terminal entrance before security. Look for signage once you are through screening in case a room has opened; otherwise plan to smoke before you go airside.
