The old Saratov Tsentralny Airport (RTW) closed on 20 August 2019. Saratov is now served by the new Gagarin International Airport (GSV) outside the city, where smoking is outdoors only — there is no enclosed indoor smoking room, so smoke at the designated points away from the terminal entrance.
Старый аэропорт Саратов Центральный (RTW) закрылся 20 августа 2019 года. Саратов теперь обслуживает новый международный аэропорт Гагарин за городом, где курение разрешено только на улице — закрытой курительной комнаты нет, поэтому курите в отведённых местах вдали от входа в терминал.
At Gagarin Airport: There is no indoor smoking room. Travellers report a fenced-off outdoor smoking spot with benches in the post-security area; otherwise smoke outdoors at the designated points, away from the terminal doors. Under Russian law smoking is banned inside the terminal and close to the entrances.
В аэропорту Гагарин: Закрытой курительной комнаты нет. Пассажиры отмечают огороженное место для курения с лавочками в зоне после досмотра; в остальных случаях курите на улице в отведённых местах, вдали от дверей терминала. По российскому закону курение внутри терминала и рядом с входами запрещено.
Saratov Airport Smoking Policy
Saratov’s old Tsentralny airport (RTW) shut in 2019 when the modern Gagarin International Airport opened to replace it. The Gagarin terminal is a new build and, like several modern Russian airports, does not provide an enclosed indoor smoking room. E-cigarettes and vapes fall under the same rules as cigarettes.
