Yelizovo Airport serves Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in Kamchatka and is open and operating normally. A large new terminal — designed in the shape of a volcanic caldera, with panoramic windows facing the volcanoes — opened in March 2025 and now handles the airport’s domestic flights; an international section is built into it but had not yet started operating as of 2025.
We could not confirm a dedicated indoor smoking room in the new terminal. Official sources do not list one, and traveller reports describe smokers stepping outdoors rather than using an airside cabin.
