Yes, you can smoke at Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW). There are enclosed indoor smoking booths after security on both the Schengen and non-Schengen concourses, plus designated outdoor smoking areas landside outside the terminal.
Warsaw Chopin is the main hub of LOT Polish Airlines and Poland’s busiest airport. It operates from a single passenger building, Terminal A, split into Schengen and non-Schengen departure zones.
Where to Smoke
After security, look for the enclosed glass smoking booths on the airside concourses. Travellers report booths on the Schengen concourse near Gates 23 and 33, and one on the non-Schengen side near Gate 1N. A long-standing branded (JTI) smoking lounge is also located in the Departures hall.
There is a heated-tobacco/IQOS lounge reported near Gate 33. It may function mainly as a sales point, so treat it as a heated-tobacco area rather than a place for general vaping.
Landside, designated outdoor smoking areas are available outside the terminal building, which is convenient before security and on arrival.
Gate numbers are hedged as “travellers report” because the official airport site does not publish a smoking map.
Vaping
Poland regulates e-cigarettes and heated tobacco the same way as cigarettes for indoor public-place bans. That means you should vape only inside the designated smoking booths and rooms, or outdoors, and not freely anywhere in the terminal.
