Clark International Airport serves the Luzon region north of Manila and is the country’s fast-growing alternative to Ninoy Aquino, operating out of a modern terminal that opened in 2022 and now handles all of CRK’s flights. It is run by Luzon International Premier Airport Development (LIPAD). Because the terminal is smoke-free throughout, the two reliable places to smoke are the airside lounge room after security and the marked outdoor areas landside.
Airside Smoking Areas (International Departures)
Once you have cleared passport control and security in international departures, the airside smoking option is the smoking room inside the Plaza Premium Lounge on Level 3 of the international pre-departure hall (unit L3-174). It is a separate, enclosed room within the lounge, and access is paid — travellers report a fee of around ₱800 for a roughly 30-minute session that includes one drink. You can pay for the smoking room on its own without booking full lounge access, which makes it a practical stop for a departing smoker with time before boarding.
Note that lighters are commonly confiscated at the security checkpoint, so the airside smoking room typically keeps a communal lighter or electric lighter available for guests.
