Yes, you can smoke at Rodríguez Ballón International Airport (AQP) — Arequipa’s airport. Open-air smoking outside the terminal building, landside, is permitted; the airport publishes no designated area; there is no smoking facility after security. The terminal interior is smoke-free.
Rodríguez Ballón is the gateway to Peru’s “Ciudad Blanca” and the country’s third-busiest passenger terminal after Lima and Cusco, sitting at roughly 2,600 m (8,400 ft) above sea level. A single terminal handles both domestic and international departures. If you smoke, plan to do so outside the building before you check in.
Where to Smoke
