The Major Airports
Hosea Kutako International (WDH). Windhoek’s main airport, 45 km outside the city. Smoke outdoors outside the terminal, away from the entrance doors and before security. Major connections include Frankfurt (Lufthansa), Johannesburg, and various African regional destinations.
Walvis Bay (WVB). Coastal port city airport. Outdoor smoking areas outside the compact terminal, before security.
Eros (ERS). Windhoek’s general-aviation and fly-in-safari hub, just 5 km from the city centre. Open-air, landside smoking is permitted under the Tobacco Products Control Act; the airport publishes no designated area and lists no smoking facility after security.
