ACA’s terminal, inaugurated in 2018, was badly damaged by Hurricane Otis in October 2023 and reopened to commercial flights that November; it took further water damage from Hurricane John in 2024. Operator Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte (OMA) signed a five-year investment agreement with the Guerrero state government in August 2025 covering runway, platform and terminal-systems work, separate from a federal reconstruction program still addressing hurricane damage.
