Yes, but only outdoors. Dzaoudzi–Pamandzi International Airport (DZA) serves Mayotte, a French overseas department, so France’s Évin law applies: smoking is banned inside the terminal. Smoke in the open air, outside the building, before going through security.
Outside the terminal: Step outside the entrances to smoke. There is no indoor smoking room. As elsewhere in France, any enclosed smoking area must be a sealed, ventilated cabin — DZA’s small terminal has none, so smoking is outdoors only.
Operational note: Cyclone Chido caused severe damage to Mayotte and the airport in December 2024, including the control tower (temporarily replaced by a mobile tower). Flights resumed progressively afterward and the airport is operating again. Facilities may still be reduced — confirm services before you travel.
