Yes, Sapporo New Chitose Airport (CTS) has 15 enclosed smoking rooms for passengers — 11 in the domestic terminal and 4 in the international terminal, on both sides of security. Every domestic gate cluster has one within a short walk, and the card lounges hold rooms of their own.

New Chitose Airport Smoking Policy
Japan’s Health Promotion Act requires enclosed, ventilated smoking rooms, and it allows heated tobacco products (IQOS, Ploom, glo) in the same rooms as cigarettes. The airport’s own FAQ counts 15 of them: eleven in the domestic terminal (two on 1F, five in the 2F boarding area, three on 3F, one on 4F) and four in the international terminal (one on 1F, three in the 3F boarding area), one of the highest totals in Japan. The Super Lounge, Super Lounge Annex and Royal Lounge each hold a further room for their own guests. No outdoor smoking areas are provided — every designated area is an indoor room. Renovation work has closed part of the 3F connecting walkway from 2 September 2026, scheduled to run until the end of June 2027, so during that period you cannot walk between the domestic and international terminals on 3F.
