Travellers described two smoking areas along the outside front of the terminal in July 2026, so smoke there, away from the doors, and ask staff for the nearest one; otherwise smoke outside the airport property, beyond the terminal kerb and car parks. The airport lists no smoking area after security. Irish law allows no smoking room inside an airport terminal (Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002, Section 47).

After security
The airport lists no smoking area after security, and travellers in July 2026 described none. Ask staff; otherwise a cigarette during a connection means leaving the terminal, smoking outside its front and clearing security again. The Kinsale Lounge (€45 an adult, €20 a child, 05:00 to 20:00, no pre-booking) lists no smoking room. The terminal is being rebuilt, with a new mezzanine floor and security screening area due in December 2026; the airport publishes no change to its smoking arrangements with the works.
Vaping
Cork Airport publishes no rule for e-cigarettes or heated tobacco, so ask staff before using either, outside the terminal as well.
