Mehrabad sits a few kilometres west of central Tehran and has handled only domestic flights since 2008, split across several terminal buildings — Terminal 1 (a preserved historic building), Terminal 2 (the main scheduled-service terminal), and Terminal 4, with Terminal 6 as its arrivals hall.
