Minangkabau International Airport (PDG) has no smoking area open to the general public — the terminal, gates and landside forecourt are smoke-free. The airport’s one confirmed smoking room, inside the Minangkabau Lounge on the third floor of the departure area, is reserved for SkyTeam Elite Plus members and Business or First Class ticket holders.
Minangkabau is West Sumatra’s main airport, serving Padang from a single terminal that handles both domestic and international flights. The airport’s own facilities pages — money changer, ATM gallery, duty free, parking, charging areas — do not list a public smoking room, and neither does the operator listing for the Banua Premier Lounge, the airport’s other landside lounge.
After Security
The Minangkabau Lounge, on the third floor of the departure area past security, lists a smoking area among its amenities. Access is restricted to SkyTeam Elite Plus members and passengers travelling in Business or First Class — there is no walk-in or pay-at-door option, so most departing passengers cannot reach it.
Before Security
The airport’s own site and its lounge listings publish no landside smoking spot. The Banua Premier Lounge, also on the third floor, sits before security and does not list a smoking room among its amenities.
Vaping
The airport publishes no separate rule for e-cigarettes. Indonesia’s Government Regulation No. 28/2024 regulates vaping products nationally. The Minangkabau Lounge’s smoking room, limited to SkyTeam Elite Plus members and Business or First Class ticket holders, is the only place at the airport with any confirmed access for smoking or vaping.
