Yes, Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) Airport (TRV) has enclosed, ventilated smoking zones after security in both terminals. Terminal 1 (domestic) has two rooms on the first floor, and Terminal 2 (international) has its own post-security room. Outdoor smoking areas are also available near the terminal entrances.
Trivandrum International Airport (TRV) serves Kerala’s capital city Thiruvananthapuram and is a major hub for flights to Gulf countries including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, and Doha. The airport handles both domestic and international traffic, and the operator (Adani) confirms enclosed smoking zones after security in both terminals. Since so many Thiruvananthapuram travellers route through the Gulf, on a layover you can step into the after-security smoking lounges at Dubai International Airport or the dedicated smoking lounges inside Doha’s Hamad International Airport.
Inside Terminals
In Terminal 1 (domestic), there are two post-security smoking zones on the first floor. One is near the Kerala Spices Shop on the way to Gate 1 (Departure); the other is near Lift 3, by Gate 3.
Terminal 2 (international) also has an enclosed post-security smoking room.
Cigarettes may be sold at a counter near the smoking zone, but lighters are not available there — carry your lighter-machine token or use the provided lighter inside the room.
Outside Terminals
Outdoor smoking areas are available near the terminal entrances at both the domestic and international buildings. The parking area and taxi stand area provide open space. Kerala’s tropical climate makes outdoor smoking comfortable throughout the year.
