Yes, Raipur Airport (RPR) has a designated Smoking Zone inside the Security Hold Area on the first floor, accessible after you clear security. Open-air smoking is also possible near the parking zone in front of the terminal.
Inside Terminals
Raipur Airport’s smoking zone is located inside the Security Hold Area (SHA) on the first floor. You reach it only after clearing security, so it is the airside option for departing passengers waiting at the gates. Look for the designated Smoking Zone signage in the departure area on the upper level.
It tends to be quieter during off-peak hours when fewer flights are departing. As a designated area, you are within the rules as long as you stick to this spot.
Outside Terminals
Before security, the typical open-air option is near the parking zone in front of the terminal. This suits anyone who has not yet entered the building — drop-off companions, early arrivals, or travelers who want to smoke before joining the check-in queue. The parking area is directly in front of the terminal entrance, so stepping out for a quick cigarette is easy. Note this is not an officially designated zone, so be discreet and keep clear of the entrance.
