No, Kullu Manali Airport (KUU) has no indoor smoking room. To smoke, step outside the small terminal building before you go through security.
Kullu-Manali (Bhuntar) is a small hill airport with one of India’s shortest commercial runways, set in a narrow valley in Himachal Pradesh. Despite the “International” in its name it operates domestic flights only — mainly turboprop service that is highly weather-dependent. The terminal is small, with no enclosed smoking lounge and no airside (post-security) smoking area.
Where to smoke
- In the open air outside the terminal, away from doorways and other travellers.
- There is nowhere to smoke once you pass security, so step out beforehand.
Smoking inside the enclosed terminal is not allowed under Indian law, with a fine of about ₹200 for smoking in non-designated spots.
