Looking for a place to smoke at Goa Airport? Here is your guide to smoking areas at GOI (Dabolim Airport), plus information about the newer Manohar International Airport (GOX) at Mopa.
Dabolim Airport (GOI)
Goa’s original airport has a single integrated terminal for both domestic and international flights. All four smoking areas inside the terminal are on the airside, accessible only after clearing security.
Airside (Post-Security):
- Domestic Departures: Designated indoor smoking area
- International Departures: Designated indoor smoking area
- International Arrivals Hall: Smoking area available after landing
Outside the Terminal:
- Designated outdoor smoking areas are located outside the departures and arrivals entrances
Manohar International Airport (GOX) — New Airport
The new Manohar International Airport at Mopa opened in January 2023 and handles a growing share of Goa’s air traffic.
- Domestic Departures (Post-Security): Indoor smoking room
- International Departures (Post-Security): Indoor smoking room
- Forecourt Area: Outdoor smoking zone
- Outside Arrivals: Clearly marked outdoor smoking areas at both domestic and international exits
Goa Airport Smoking Policy
India’s COTPA regulations permit designated smoking areas in airports. Smoking outside these areas is prohibited. Goa now has two airports, so check which one your flight uses — many domestic flights have shifted to the newer GOX (Manohar/Mopa) airport.
Tips for Smokers at Goa Airport
- GOI (Dabolim) has 4 airside smoking areas — all post-security only
