Yes, you can smoke at Memmingen Airport (FMM), also known as Allgäu Airport, after security. The airport’s own facilities page is specific about it: in the security area, you can smoke in the beer garden or in the smoking cabin at Gate 1, and passengers heading to a non-Schengen destination have a further smoking cabin available after passport control.
After Security
The beer garden in the security area gives smokers an open-air option, and there’s a separate enclosed smoking cabin at Gate 1 for anyone who wants to stay out of the weather.
Non-Schengen Departures
Passengers clearing passport control for a non-Schengen flight have their own smoking cabin on the far side of the checkpoint.
Before Security
FMM’s own facilities page names no landside smoking spot. Every smoking area it publishes is airside, past the security checkpoint, so landside passengers do not have a designated option before the checkpoint.
E-Cigarettes and Vaping
FMM publishes no separate rule for e-cigarettes. Use the same beer garden, the Gate 1 cabin, and the cabin after passport control as for tobacco. The main terminal and check-in hall are vape-free.
