Yes, Toulouse Blagnac Airport (TLS) has outdoor smoking areas, including airside patios and terraces after security. There are three airside spots: a patio on the Hall A boarding jetty near the low-numbered gates, an open-air terrace on the departures level in Hall C near Gate 30, and an outdoor area at the Hall D end near Gates 60/61. Landside, smoking is in the open air outside the terminal entrances. Under France’s Évin law there are no indoor smoking rooms.
Airside Smoking Areas (After Security)
Once through security, outdoor patios and terraces serve departing and connecting passengers without sending them back landside. TLS has three airside smoking spots, spread across the halls:
- Hall A jetty (near Gates 8/9): The boarding jetty for low-cost and regional flights, opened in 2018, has three open-air patios, one of which is a designated smoking area near the low-numbered gates. It is the newest of the airside spots.
- Hall C terrace (near Gate 30): A roughly 30 m² open-air smoking terrace on the departures level, on the boarding side near Gate 30, with runway views. It sits upstairs and is not always signposted, so look for the terrace doors.
- Hall D end (near Gates 60/61): An outdoor smoking area at the international/long-haul end of the terminal, where the highest-numbered gates are. Useful if you are boarding from that wing.
Smoking spots at regional gates can open and close with terminal works, so if one is closed follow the signage or ask staff for the nearest open patio.
Landside Smoking Areas (Before Security)
If you have not yet cleared security, or you have just landed, smoke in the open-air areas outside the terminal entrances. These are on both the departures and arrivals levels, a short step from the doors. There are no indoor smoking rooms at TLS.
