Smoking Areas at Paris CDG Airport

CDG provides both pre-security and post-security smoking areas across every terminal. Look for the orange smoking signs that mark these areas throughout the airport.

Terminal 1 Smoking Areas

Paris Aéroport’s own smoking-area listing puts Terminal 1’s areas on Levels 2 and 7 before the checkpoints and Levels 4 and 10 after them (checked September 2026). The airport describes all of its smoking areas as enclosed rooms with air extraction, signposted in every terminal and open to passengers holding a boarding pass.

Pre-Security (Levels 2 and 7):

  • One area on Level 2, near the CDGVAL station in the center of the building

  • One area on Level 7

Post-Security (Levels 4 and 10):

  • One area on Level 4

  • Two areas on Level 10

Terminal 2B-2D:

  • Indoor smoking room directly behind La Table de Michel Roth restaurant, next to gate 50D (as of May 2025)

Terminal 2C:

  • Medium-sized smoking area beside gate L31 (as of April 2025)

  • Two smoking rooms at the far end of the pier near gates M50 and M31

Terminal 2E - K Gates:

  • Smoking area opposite Gate K47

  • Downstairs near gate F21 (confirmed March 2024) - large signage makes it easy to find

  • Gate area F47-56: smoking room downstairs across from the restrooms

Terminal 2G:

  • Smoking area in the main waiting/store area, at the far end away from the gate area

  • Near Gate 11 - accessible through Pret A Manger Cafe after security (as of January 2025)

  • After security, head towards Gates 9-15
