Yes, Aswan International Airport (ASW) has designated smoking areas for passengers. There are clearly marked outdoor smoking areas in front of the terminal and a smoking area in each Pearl Lounge, on the domestic and the international side — both of those lounges sit landside, before the departure checkpoint.
Aswan International Airport serves Upper Egypt’s southern tourist circuit — Abu Simbel, Philae, the High Dam and the Nile cruise routes between Aswan and Luxor. It handles domestic EgyptAir traffic plus seasonal international and charter flights, with the strongest peaks in the cooler tourist months.

Aswan operates a single passenger terminal handling domestic and international flights, with separate processing for domestic and international passengers on the same level. Because traffic moves through one compact terminal, smoking provision sits landside: the marked area in front of the building and the two Pearl Lounges. As at other Egyptian terminals, everyone is X-rayed at the entrance doors, so clearing a screening point on the way in does not mean you have passed the departure checkpoint.

Aswan publishes no smoking area past the security checkpoint. A traveller described a smoking room in the boarding area near Gate 6 in August 2019; the airport publishes nothing of its own on smoking, and no dated account since 2019 shows the room still operating. Treat the gate area as smoke-free and take your cigarette landside before you clear the checkpoint.
Pearl Lounges (Landside)
Both Pearl Lounges are landside, and each has its own smoking area. The domestic lounge is on level 1 past the security X-ray — the screening every visitor passes on the way into an Egyptian terminal, not the departure checkpoint — for domestic flights only, and the international lounge is on level 1 after the check-in counters, on the right before immigration, for international flights only. Take the lounge break before you clear the checkpoint, since the airport lists nothing beyond it.
Outside Terminals
The primary option is the clearly marked designated smoking area in front of the terminal, before security, fitted with ashtrays. The same applies on the arrivals forecourt. Summer heat in Aswan is intense.
