Nanchang Changbei’s smoking room sits on the west side of Terminal 2’s A concourse, next to remote gate 252, and it’s a recent addition — it opened on 9 October 2024 and covers 27.3 square metres. It’s enclosed rather than an open corner of the concourse, and it is fitted with an electronic lighter, three explosion-proof exhaust fans, a smoke-and-temperature detector and sprinklers, built specifically to keep smoking contained and cut down on secondhand smoke drifting into the isolation zone.
