Indoor Smoking Rooms (Closed)
HKG previously operated enclosed indoor smoking rooms at several Terminal 1 locations — including near Gates 25, 29, 41, 63 and 64, plus rooms in the Midfield Concourse and North Satellite Concourse. These indoor rooms are now closed. Plan around the two open-air terraces above instead.

Before Security / Landside
If you arrive with time before check-in, step outside the Terminal 1 departures entrances for fresh air; smoking inside the building is not permitted. Allow extra minutes if you want a smoke before joining the immigration and security queues, since you will not be able to step back out once airside.
