After Security (Airside)
There are no indoor smoking rooms after security at Terminal 2. Zhengzhou’s public-places smoking ordinance, tightened in 2020, makes the whole terminal interior smoke-free, so CGO routes every smoker outdoors — the same landside-only pattern as Beijing, Shenzhen and Hangzhou. If you are transiting and want to smoke, you will need to exit through arrivals and re-clear security to return to the gates, which is realistic only on layovers of three hours or more. On a tight connection, plan to wait until you land.
