Yes, you can smoke at Vitória–Eurico de Aguiar Salles International Airport (VIX) — outside the terminal building, landside. Brazilian federal law (Lei 12.546/2011) bans smoking in enclosed public spaces, so VIX’s terminal interior is smoke-free.
VIX is the main airport for Vitória and the state of Espírito Santo. Zurich Airport Brasil has operated it since 2019 under a 30-year federal concession, replacing Infraero; the current single terminal opened in 2018 on the airport’s second runway, with the older terminal converted to cargo use, and VIX carries around 3.6 million passengers a year.
Where to Smoke
Open-air smoking outside the terminal building, landside, is permitted; the airport publishes no designated area; no smoking facility after security is confirmed.
