Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP) is entirely smoke-free — its official facilities page publishes no smoking room, indoors, airside, or outdoors, so plan on a smoke-free journey through the terminal.
Shah Amanat is Bangladesh’s second-largest airport, serving the port city of Chattogram from a single terminal and run by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh.
Terminal and Airside
CAAB’s own facilities page for the airport itemises car parking, first aid, banking, duty free, hotel booking, a prayer room, CCTV, Wi-Fi, flight-information screens and luggage wrapping — a genuinely detailed list — and a smoking room does not appear on it, either landside or airside. This is different from the indoor smoking rooms opposite gates 5 and 9 at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport; Chittagong’s own listing does not include an equivalent facility.
Vaping
E-cigarettes are now a criminal offence to import, sell or use in Bangladesh under the December 2025 ordinance. This applies from the moment you land, not just inside the terminal, so do not bring a vape or heated-tobacco device into the country through Chittagong.
Summary
| Area | Smoking | Notes |
